Who or What is a Micropreneur?

Different organizations define the term differently. Generally speaking, at McClanahan Tax we consider a micropreneur to be someone who:

  • Owns and operates a small business.

  • Typically wears multiple hats with respect to business functions.

  • May operate solo or have a team of up to nine employees (per Small Business Administration definition) or a small team of independent contractors.

  • Will typically have less than $2 million in annual revenue from the business.
