Hi, I'm Larry McClanahan.
I specialize in helping Oregonians age 50+ use smart tax and financial planning strategies to make the most of life's second half.
With over 35 years of diverse business and management experience, I've worn many hats. I've been an Accountant, City Manager, VP & CFO for a private college, and CFO of a Canadian startup firm. Now, I own and operate both tax and wealth management practices focused on clients in the second half of life.
As an Enrolled Agent (EA) I'm licensed to practice before the IRS. I'm also an Oregon Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC) and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) professional.

Growing up, my family had a pet raccoon.

At age 26, I was likely the youngest City Manager in Oregon, serving the City of Myrtle Point.

I used to "rock the house" on bass in worship bands and a blues-rock trio called The Young and The Beautiful.

My 23andMe test revealed I have more Neanderthal DNA than 84% of people tested (at the time). Which explains a lot according to my wife.
